Eternal Security is surely Satan's masterpiece. This doctrine that claims that one can be "in Christ," while willingly dead in "trespasses and sins, " is pure heresy. The doctrine is rooted in unbelief, seeing that they deny that Christ has any power to deliver the believer here and now. The Bible tells us that Jesus came to destroy the work of the devil, and that Jesus came to save His people from their sins, not in their sins. A Savior who cannot live up to his promises to deliver us from our sins in this life cannot be depended upon to deliver us after our death! I am uncomfortably confident that at the consummation of time, it will be revealed that this sole doctrine alone will have populated the regions of hell far more than all other false teachings put together. Those that teach this heresy have exchanged light for darkness, truth for lies, and called it the Gospel!     - Jeff Paton

Are you gambling your salvation on a cliché? 

Since your page is titled "Eternal Security: A Biblical Perspective," why do you spend so much time using the words of others instead of Scripture?       Answer: This is an astute observation! The reason for this is because Eternal Security is a theological argument, and not a Biblical one. It is a theological invention, and should be treated as such in the starting pages response. I believe that the doctrine of Eternal Security has been given its most appropriate position at the very start of this page.   This objection that has been raised by many people is however an excuse, and not a reason for objecting to this page. I have given 173 Scriptural Reasons in the article "200 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT BELIEVE IN ETERNAL SECURITY!," and have exposed the exegetical fallacies that people use to "find" Eternal Security from certain Scriptures in the articles, "THE EIGHT PILLARS OF ETERNAL SECURITY," and "THE PILLARS OF ETERNAL SECURITY Part Two."  A candid examination is made of the Scriptures concerning the words of abide, hold on, continue, remain, and endure to the end, in the article "HOLD ON!". The bottom line is, there are just too many Scriptural arguments against the doctrine of Once Saved Always Saved to fit them all on the first page. I make all these things available for those that have the integrity to click beyond the first page before they criticize.
